Mesa Deck Contractors are excited to offer deck repair and maintenance for Mesa decks and patios. You’ve spent your hard-earned money building your Mesa deck and it’s critical to keep your deck or patio well kept in order to extend its life as long as possible. All decks and patios age and weather with time but wood decking is especially susceptible to damage if not well maintained. Wood decking should be restained every 2-3 seasons depending on exposure to the elements to ensure it lasts as long as possible. Another thing to look out for is sagging. Sometimes, with time, support posts can sink into the ground. When this happens the decking above will sink with it. This can add extra pressure and strain to your Mesa home deck. Screws may pop and boards may come lose. For these reasons, it’s a great idea to have your deck inspected by local professionals every two to three seasons. We can catch small issues, and repair them before they grow into larger issues. Also, make sure to keep an eye out for rotting boards. Composite and plastic decking does have more tendency towards sagging and so it’s extra important to monitor shifts in the support posts.
In order to extend the life of your deck for as long as possible, it’s important to keep it well maintained. Mesa Deck Contractors take deck repair and maintenance seriously!

Regular Inspection of your Deck is Critical for Catching Issues Before They Get Too Big.
The following are some tips when it comes to inspecting your Mesa deck (if you have questions make sure to reach out. We have years of experience!). First, make sure to check the wood where the ledger board touches the side of your Mesa home and the wood that connects with the ground from the last stair. You are looking for wood rot near the last stair board and you are looking that the wood next to the house is in good repair and hasn’t shifted towards or away from the home. Second, make sure to carefully wiggle the railing around your deck. You are looking for tight connections and that nothing is coming lose. Third, inspect your Mesa deck for raised or exposed nails. Make sure to remove them and replace them with new wood screws. Fourth, check for holes and cracks in the wood. Make sure to fill them with outdoor rated wood filler. Fifth, inspect hardware. If it’s becoming rusted you’ll want to replace it.
